The lands over Aztersil are filled with many different cultures. A culture is defined here as a civilization based upon a system of beliefs and government. There are three main categories of cultures: Empires (Spanning over more than one continent), Kingdoms (Present on only one continent), and Tribes (Present in only one region). The list below is organized into these three. By clicking the name of the culture, you will open a page listing the information of that culture. If there is anything not listed that you wish to know, please ask an administrator.

On your character sheet you are allowed to come up with your own culture. This is a world, we can by no means list every culture known on the planet. This is a place you can be free with your ideas. You will see more information about this listed on the forums in the Create your Character section.

If you choose from one of our listed cultures, we ask that you please mostly conform to the ideals of the culture your character is a member of. It is possible that your character follows no culture, and is in essence a rogue. Some cultures may look down upon your character for having come from no where, but you are required to provide a history as to how your character is not a member of any culture.

There are some groups of people who group together but do not follow any culture at all. These are called Orders. Orders exist within cultures. Your character can be a member of a culture and an order at the same time. They could be spies or members of a conspiracy, or whatever you wish. Some orders are non violent, some are not.

At the bottom of all culture pages is a list depicting the relations that culture has with other cultures. Those listed under Allied means that that cultures is on friendly terms. They do not attach each other and often times help each other. Those listed under No Relations means just as it sounds, the cultures do not have relations with each other. This could mean they never have crossed as they are located on different parts of the world, or they have no interest in each other. The last is War. Those listed under War means that these two cultures are, obviously, at war. They may or may not be openly battling in the world, but two individuals from those different cultures meeting would mean a high chance of a fight.

Your character can be a member of one culture, but spying on another, or a double agent. You are free to make your character how you wish and play about the cultures.
