Kursed is the name applied to those unfortunate beings who are cursed to transform into a korlx. The transformation is not painless, but quite the opposite. The being loses their mind, becoming fully a korlx, lusting for hunt, blood, and to kill. The curse is applied through a ritual, putting the blood, breath, and muscle of the korlx into the body of the unfortunate. The common way to preform this curse is to use a strip of the korlx lung as a candle, blood mixed in wine, and meat to be consumed. Applying the mysterial through the ritual of blood, breath, and muscle curses the individual to transform into a raging korlx.
The kursed can transform between their true self and the korlx. Triggers to and from the beast vary with each of the kursed. Triggers could be a simple as ocean air, or rain, loud noises or the feel of stone.
